I really need to get a life....

Last night my cell phone started to ring. This doesn't happen often when Russ is actually home, as he's usually the one who is calling me. Russ was the one who picked up my phone and was taking it to me. I told him he should just answer it. He said, "I'm not going to answer it, it's your sister." He didn't tell me which sister though. I saw on my caller ID that it was De.

When I answered the phone, she told me that she had a goofy question for me. Explained that she couldn't come up with which movie a certain scene/characters were in and wanted to see if I could help her out with it. Then she went on to describe the scene. I decided I really need to get a life when I interrupted her description to tell her the name of the movie. I do feel a little bit better about it after I told Russ and Stacey and they both came up with the movie. At least I know I'm not the only one who needs to get a life.

This was basically her description: A bald police chief who is too nice and (here's where I interrupted her as she started to say) he keeps coming out.... When I jumped in with, "So I Married an axe Murderer," she replied, "Oh, brilliant! Thanks." And that was the end of the conversation.

I'm still wondering why she was thinking of that movie. Although that is one movie that does make me laugh. I have memories of the first time I saw it. It was at someone's house when I was at Dixie. We were watching it with a bunch of girls from our sorority (I think it was at one girl's cousin's house). During one scene where the mother is going on about the World Weekly News, the girl's cousin (I think his name was Rob...can't quite remember...just remember he was cute and played one of the leads in the production of Guys and Dolls Dixie put on) quietly stood up and went into a back room and when he came out, he had a newspaper-type magazine in his hands and sat back like he was reading it. He grinned as everyone noticed that it was a copy of the World Weekly News. I thought it was funny. It was also funny when one girl would scream every time the axe was swung in the movie. But here I go again, proving that I need to get a life. Ah, well. At least when I'm old and senile and stuck in a nursing home and can only remember the trivia that my mind sucked up at earlier ages, I'll be entertained.

Yeah, his name was Rob. Can't remember his last name though.
